BUILT FOR PLAYERS WHO WANT MORE FROM THEIR GAME.
The JM ELITE Winterball Program is designed for athletes who are serious about baseball and committed to developing their game to compete at the highest level. Many of our JM athletes graduate and are playing in various College and University teams in both Canada and the United States.
The program is designed for 18U athletes who are currently playing baseball and have aspirations of playing at the next level. Whether that is AAA goals to Alberta’s Baseball Elite League, to post-secondary baseball
Players receive focused instruction, purposeful repetitions and individualized attention throughout the program.
A Complete Approach to Player Development
Our development program is designed to build stronger, more athletic, game-ready baseball players through progressive training that develops both physical performance and on-field skills.
Phase 1: Strength & Conditioning | First 2 Months
Athletes begin with two months of focused strength and conditioning, with weight training on Mondays and Fridays and hitting development on Wednesdays.
Building a strong athletic foundation is essential to long-term baseball success. Strength and conditioning improve power, speed, acceleration, endurance, balance, stability, and mobility. These improvements translate directly to throwing velocity, hitting power, running speed, and overall on-field performance. Properly designed training also helps athletes develop better movement patterns, improve body control, and build resilience to the physical demands of baseball.
Phase 2: Skill Development & Game Preparation | Following 3 Months
The next three months focus on refining baseball skills and preparing athletes for game situations, with defensive training on Mondays, hitting on Wednesdays, and pitching and hitting on Fridays. Strength development continues throughout this phase to support athletic progress and maintain a strong physical foundation.
Athletes develop defensive fundamentals, improve consistency at the plate, refine pitching mechanics, and build confidence through focused, position-specific instruction. Combining technical skill work with continued strength training helps players transfer their physical gains into improved on-field performance, better execution, and greater readiness for competition.
The Goal: Develop stronger, more explosive, skilled, and confident baseball players who are physically prepared and technically equipped to compete at the next level.

INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT. TEAM IMPACT.
The primary focus of Winterball is individual development.
The goal is to help each athlete become a better player who can bring those improvements back to their team.
Training connects skills directly to the game—helping players understand when and why a skill is used, how situations can change, and how to respond when those moments happen in competition.
When individual players improve, their teams become better too.
WHAT WILL YOU TAKE WITH YOU?
By the end of the winter program, athletes should be more developed in all areas of their game and better prepared to compete.
They will work toward developing:
Greater confidence
A deeper understanding of the game
Stronger work ethic
The ability to compete at a high level
Better understanding of game situations
The ability to focus on what they can control
Greater consistency in their preparation and performance
Most importantly, athletes will leave with a clearer understanding of what it takes to continue getting better.
THE JM ELITE STANDARD
PREPARE. COMPETE. DEVELOP.
Jamie believes:
“Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.”
Winterball is built around that philosophy. Athletes are challenged to embrace the process, put in purposeful work and develop the discipline required to perform when it matters.
The goal isn't simply to be ready for the season.
The goal is to be better because of the work you put in all winter.
